THE MEANING BEHIND MY DESIGNS

My obsession with geometric patterns comes from the complexity of their design, and the perfect balance of their mathematical elegance. I am most fascinated in the way geometry is used by different cultures; how form and shapes are manifested in many ideologies, beliefs, values, and traditions.

This is why, when it comes to my work, I take a personal approach to my designs, drawing inspiration from the range of cultures and identities that exist both in London and myself.

By analysing, dissecting and merging different cultural patterns together, I design unified prints, echoing the commonality between us. I want people to feel a personal connection to my designs. Blending warmth and familiarity with a contemporary freshness, my patterns are a celebration of cultural inclusiveness, while simultaneously embracing our differences.
